12 NSCS Members Accepted Into China Language & Teaching Program

Washington, DC, May 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) is pleased to announce the following members have been accepted into the China Professional Training and Language Academy program for the summer session:

• Jessica Tan, Temple University
• William Thore, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
• Madeline Viera, University of Central Florida
• Yohahn Jo, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

The CPTLA Summer program is a three-month language and training program in China, taking place from June to August 2009.

The program include a Chinese Immersion language class, local Beijing city excursions, a two-week extensive travel itinerary, and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification (TEFL/TESOL).

"We wanted to ensure that our members had the opportunity to learn about this country in a substantive, exciting way that exposes them to a side of China they wouldn't see in other programs," said Steve Loflin, Executive Director of NSCS.

NSCS also offers CPTLA sessions in the Fall and Spring.
