Cambridge Resources Introduces a State-of-the-Art Electronic Seal

Cambridge Resources, the leading security seals distributor, announced today the introduction of the latest innovations in security seals technology, the newly improved Manta Electronic Security Seal.

Brooklyn, NY, May 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Cambridge Resources, the leading security seals distributor, announced today the introduction of the latest innovations in security seals technology, including infrared scanning and improved water resistance, with the unveiling of the newly improved Manta Electronic Security Seal.

Manta Security Seals, featuring state-of-the-art Crypta data technology, have long been considered the highest performing electronic seals in the security industry. A newly incorporated series of product updates boost the performance capabilities of Manta, increasing its value to seal users, and further distancing Manta from its competition.

The most significant upgrade to the Manta is the introduction of the Seal Track option. Seal Track is a handheld infrared scanning device that enables a virtually instantaneous downloading of the data stored within the Manta. This data can then be easily downloaded to a PC or laptop computer utilizing the Seal Track software, where the information can be sorted, analyzed, and displayed in a variety of printable formats.

The product enhancements also include improved water tightness on the Manta’s exterior casing (Rating – RS4), ensuring a virtually waterproof housing for the seal. In addition, the Manta’s unique mud flaps are now secured with locking metal hasps, a customer-driven improvement over previous version’s hook and loop fastening device. The new and improved Mantas also feature lithium ion batteries, which extend the life of the Manta, enabling companies to similarly extend the amortization of the product. The Manta’s housing has also been redesigned to enable it to be padlocked for users seeking even higher security.

“The Manta provides the most value of any security seal on the market,” claims Brian Lyle, Vice President of Security Seals for Cambridge Resources. “Given the number of mechanical seals it will replace over its lifetime, as well as the reduced ancillary total costs of ownership when compared to traditional seals, it’s no surprise that companies seeking higher security at lower costs are choosing the Manta.”

Manta Electronic Security Seals generate a random number each time a seal is closed. This seal number remains active until the device is reopened, ensuring restricted access during transportation. Manta is a highly reliable, easy-to-use security tool which not only reduces the manpower required for the essential record keeping functions associated with security seals, but eliminates the need to purchase, store, control, and dispose of mechanical seals.

Manta is available exclusively in North America through Cambridge Resources. The product is manufactured by Unisto, a Swiss company, which has partnered with Cambridge Resources for further product and market development.
