Jon Aleckson & Joe Rheaume will lead a workshop on “Developing Interactive Learning Objects, Simulations, and Games” at the American Society of Training Directors (ASTD) 2009 International Conference & Exposition in Washington DC on May 30th, 2009

Madison, WI, May 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Web Courseworks founder and CEO Jon Aleckson will be heading up the full-day workshop on game-based learning this Saturday at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC. The pre-conference workshop at ASTD International 2009 will immerse eLearning developers in building a development process that focuses on games and simulations while using a disciplined, streamlined approach that encourages creativity, communication, efficiency, and results.

Joe Rheaume will lend his expertise as the creator of “Chronotron,” the popular Web-based video game, and as a representative of Web Courseworks, the eLearning production company where he works as lead programmer.

Attendees of this session will be able to:

• Apply a design process that includes tools that allow for discussion on learning theory, client sign-offs, and stakeholder involvement
• Design learning objects that incorporate game theory and principles
