Visions In Education Student, Josephine Kao Competes in the 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee Held in Washington, D.C.

Sacramento, CA, May 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Visions In Education, one of California's leading provider of Home schooling and Independent Study programs is pleased to announce that Josephine Kao, an eighth-grade student is competing in the 2009 Scripps Spelling Bee being held in Washington, D.C. Josephine is currently featured on the American Girl Web site as a grand-prize winner in the "Stop Bullying" national poster contest. A valued member of the Capital Valley Harp Circle, she has also played piano since the age of four. She skates on a synchronized figure skating team and competes nationally. In recognition of her many philanthropic efforts, Josephine will be making a speech this July at the "Nestlé Very Best in Youth" awards ceremony. She participated in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 national finals, tying for 13th place in 2008.has been a student at Visions In Education since the third grade.
