"The Search for the Ultimate Buzz Dog" Returns to 850 The Buzz

Listener Favorite Contest Will Award Dog Owner $500 and Winning Dog 500 Bones.

Raleigh, NC, May 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Sports Radio 850 The Buzz, the Triangle’s Sports Leader, has announced the return of “The Search for the Ultimate Buzz Dog” – a search for the “coolest” dog as voted by listeners of 850 The Buzz. The owner of the winning dog will receive $500, while the winning dog walks away with 500 bones. The popular contest makes its return after the last Ultimate Buzz Dog, Marley, was crowned in 2006.

Entries for the Ultimate Buzz Dog will be accepted Monday, June 1 through Sunday, June 21. The online voting process will take place beginning June 29th with the top 16 dogs moving on to the Ultimate Buzz Dog “Sweet Sixteen.” The winning dog will be announced on Monday, July 29th. Entries can be made on-line at www.850thebuzz.com or be mailed to the 850 The Buzz studios at 4601 Six Forks Road, Suite 520, Raleigh, NC 27609.

“With the majority of our listenership being comprised of men, it’s appropriate that we once again honor “Man’s Best Friend,” stated 850 The Buzz general manager Brian Maloney. “Our listeners have missed this contest and the opportunity to showcase their dogs, and we are happy to bring it back to them for Triangle bragging rights.”
