MASSAGE Magazine Debuts Digital Subscription

MASSAGE Magazine digital subscription is now available. This new digital flip book was designed by the company to provide massage therapy professionals with instant access to the publication.

Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, May 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- MASSAGE Magazine, the leading resource for massage and bodywork professionals, has introduced a new digital version of its magazine, which allows readers to download via the Web the same content featured in the print version.

This is the most recent cross-platform initiative launched by the company, and the new format is expected to appeal to a growing number of readers who are more accustomed to consuming media online.

"Our readers are becoming more technologically savvy, and creating a digital edition was the obvious next step in putting MASSAGE Magazine right at their fingertips," said Managing Editor Jennifer Whalen. "Subscribers can enjoy a pleasurable reading experience, and they can access the latest issues whenever and wherever they want."

As the magazine continues to expand its audience, in both the online and offline worlds, the cross-platform marketing opportunities that MASSAGE Magazine can provide are growing as well.

"The popularity of digital magazines is growing rapidly because they provide readers with a more interactive experience," said MASSAGE Magazine's Vice President of Web Operations Manuel Lirio. "Our new digital format allows massage therapists to be more productive while they read, as it enables them to easily connect with our editorial staff as well as our advertisers."

"Our goal is for each issue to function as a convenient personal gateway into the massage industry community--giving our readers instant access to the latest news, articles, products, videos and more," added Lirio.

The digital edition of MASSAGE Magazine is only the latest venture by the company to produce creative cross-platform content. Earlier this year, MASSAGEMag.com launched completely optimized Web applications for Blackberry and iPhone users. More recently, MASSAGE Magazine also expanded its outreach to the massage and bodywork community by launching pages on the popular social networking sites Facebook and Twitter.

MASSAGE Magazine has also been a longtime proponent of environmentally sound lifestyle and practice management--the magazine offers a Green Living Resource Center on its website, along with regular articles on this topic--and this addition of an electronic version of the magazine is another step toward serving as a leader in this area.

"MASSAGE Magazine is all about living a healthy life--and human health simply cannot be separated from the health of our planet," said Karen Menehan, the magazine's editor-in-chief. "For the past several years, we’ve been advising massage therapists on how to live an environmentally healthy lifestyle and how to implement Earth-friendly business practices; therefore, the launch of our electronic edition is another positive step we are taking to promote environmental sustainability in the massage field."

The digital edition will be available for the discounted rate of $9.95 per year, $17.95 for two years or $26.95 for three years.

Readers of MASSAGE Magazine may now choose to read the publication in electronic format, and current print subscribers will soon have access to the digital edition in addition to their print editions. The printed version will still be mailed to subscribers every month.
