Staco Systems Switching Technology Selected for Use on FREMM Attack Frigate

Costa Mesa, CA, May 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Staco Systems, a leading supplier of aerospace control solutions, announced today that their newly introduced S100 4-pole switch was selected for use on the FREMM multi-mission frigate program.

The FREMM program is a joint Italian-French defense industrial co-operation project for a new generation of multipurpose frigates. The FREMM Multipurpose Frigate is a ship that is designed to operate in anti-air, anti-submarine and anti-ship warfare and be capable of carrying out deep strikes against land targets. It has a full load displacement of 5,750 tons, an overall length of 140 meters and a speed of more than 27 knots.

Staco Systems believes that its vast design engineering experience, ability to leverage known and proven switch technology, and the S100 switch’s exceptional LED lighting and legend options were all factors in the contract award.

“Staco Systems welcomes the opportunity to continue its half-century commitment to provide the most advanced aerospace control solutions in the industry to this program,” said Jason Childs, V.P. of Sales and Marketing for Staco Systems. “We are always passionate about new and innovative technologies and are very excited by the new capabilities of the S100 switch.”

Staco Systems will begin delivery on this contract in June 2009.
