High Tech Leadership Certification Program Starts Sep. 7 in RTP, NC

CAI Announces the High Tech Certification Program for Aspiring and Experienced Technical and Scientific Leaders on Management and Strategy Starting September 7 in RTP, NC

Raleigh, NC, August 11, 2006 --(PR.com)-- CAI announces The High Tech Leadership Certification Program starting September 7, 2006 at the Sigma Xi facility in Research Triangle Park, NC.

The 8-week High Tech Leadership Certification Program provides real-world, hands-on leadership skills training for managers and leaders in technical and scientific fields including biotech, high tech and pharmaceutical companies. CAI members who have previously participated in this program include Cormetech, SoftPro and Sigma Xi.

A recent study by Blessing White indicated many challenging leadership issues for technical and scientific leaders. Over 50% of individuals surveyed in the pharma and biotech and 40% in high tech indicated it “very challenging to lead teams through organizational changes.” The survey also indicated that “building collaborative relationships” and “communication at every level of the organization,” “building trust with my team” and encouraging “risk taking and innovation” were key actions needed for leadership success.

The program provides strategic leadership training specific to the technical and scientific industry with modules in strategic leadership thinking, team building, communication and change management.

Kathryn Helene, the program leader, is an experienced facilitator and expert in organizational development at CAI. She is a licensed attorney and certified mediator. Since 1997 she has specialized in the design and delivery of training to bio-tech, telecommunications, technical, engineering and information technology companies throughout the United States and Europe.

The High Tech Leadership Seminar certification program takes place in Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC at the Sigma Xi facility from 9am to 4pm over an 8-week timeframe. Session dates are September 7, 14, 22, 28 and October 5, 12, 19, and 26.
