Enterprising Women Names New Members to National Advisory Board

Raleigh, NC, June 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women magazine (www.enterprisingwomen.com), has named Alison Woo, Lena Claxton, Nicolina A. Stewart and Jena Gardner as Enterprising Women National Advisory Board members.

Woo and Claxton are new media experts for the Forbes.com business and financial network. As principals of NewMediaMavens.com, Woo and Claxton help businesses communicate effectively online using new media strategies. They are also the authors of the book, How to Say It©: Marketing With New Media – A Guide to Promoting Your Small Business Using Websites, E-zines, Blogs & Podcasts (Penguin/Prentice Hall Press). Woo, the chief media maven, is a journalist with extensive experience in television, print, radio and online media. She has worked for CNN Headline News and freelances for national news organizations, including Money Magazine, Fortune Small Business.com and MSNBC.com. Claxton, the chief marketing maven, has extensive marketing experience helping businesses market themselves on the Internet. Gardner, a sales and marketing expert, turned her lifelong passion for travel into a thriving enterprise by founding JG Black Book of Travel in 2002, a consulting firm that provides expert marketing, promotion and sales services to a collection of the world’s finest hotels, resorts, villas, tour operators, cruises and yachts. Inspired by her own personal travels, Gardner sponsors eight children globally and co-founded The Bodhi Tree Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting environmental and humanitarian efforts related to travel and tourism sustainability.
