SaveLocally Announces Company's Soft Launch

SaveLocally Inc. announces its soft launch and the start of its green online coupon fundraising program in San Jose. The program brings the traditional fundraising coupon book online.

Pleasanton, CA, June 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- SaveLocally Inc. has announced its official company launch and the opening of its green eCoupon fundraising program in San Jose, the starting point of a planned nationwide rollout.

SaveLocally is designed for exclusive partnerships with nonprofit organizations, bringing the traditional fundraising coupon book online and providing thousands of dollars in discounts to consumers while raising badly needed funds for community organizations including schools, charities, scouting and youth sports, and offering powerful online tools to businesses and fundraising groups.

SaveLocally's inaugural partner for the program is Breathe California, which since 1904 has been dedicated to reducing the impact of lung disease through prevention, education, advocacy and patient services.

Breathe California will use SaveLocally's online coupon program as a part of its fundraising efforts beginning in San Jose.

SaveLocally plans to expand its fundraising program in coming months to Oakland, San Francisco and Sacramento, and to Southern California later this year. Plans include expanding the company's staff with each market and the opening of an office in Orange County.

"The timing is right given the current economic conditions" said Barry Bestpitch, SaveLocally's chief executive officer. "Community organizations have been hit hard, with government budgets slashed and donations down, and the need for a new fundraising vehicle is great. At the same time, coupon use among consumers is at a record high, as people strive to save money.

"We have designed a win-win fundraising model that mutually supports consumers, nonprofits, and local businesses, and at a time when all three groups need help," he added. "Our model provides broader discounts for consumers, a greater return for fundraising organizations and exciting opportunities for businesses."

Recent studies show a majority of Americans -- up to 89 percent -- use coupons, and that Americans saved $2.6 billion with coupons in 2007.

The SaveLocally Model

SaveLocally works with nonprofit organizations to distribute SaveLocally memberships, which offer a wide range of discount coupons from local businesses. And consumers are able to search and organize coupons online, and access and print them 24/7.

Nonprofits, meanwhile, receive a much higher than normal return on revenue, along with powerful online tools for fundraising and monitoring results. And unlike some traditional coupon books, SaveLocally's eCoupon program is sold exclusively by nonprofits, meaning that fundraising partners avoid sales battles with major retailers.

Finally, businesses are given an effective new channel with which to attract customers, and real-time online tracking tools that tally sales results. The SaveLocaly program is a stimulus package for fundraisers, businesses and consumers alike.

The environment wins, too. SaveLocally is committed to a green business model that avoids printing of thousands of books, many of which are never used.
