Dress for Success® Brookhaven, sponsored by the Town of Brookhaven, Women’s Services, is an internationally renowned non-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. The clients of Dress for Success are referred by agencies and organizations that deal with a variety of women’s issues. Each client is given individual attention. When a client becomes employed, she is invited back for a second suiting and is invited to join the Professional Women’s Group (PWG). The PWG meetings are geared toward helping newly employed women find solutions to problems in a supportive environment and hearing from experts on various issues such as finances and child care. Services are always provided at no cost to the clients.

Moxxie’s Founder and Creator, Beth Meixner, formed this alliance because “who better to help coach these courageous women than the ladies of Moxxie. Our contribution to this foundation can vary among the Moxxie Members – many will donate business suits, others will serve as mentors and some may be prospective employers. It’s a true exchange for both organizations. Our members feel the need to give back and these ladies are looking for a big sister in business.”

Since Moxxie Members are experienced women who have achieved business success each in their own way and under differing circumstances, these women do not forget the people, associations or circumstances that lead to their career achievements. In appreciation of their good fortunes, Moxxie members are dedicated to donating business attire and offer their professional counsel to the clients of Dress for Success.

So bring your business attire (all cleaned and on hangers, please) and any accessories to make a working woman feel put together and ready for action. Large sizes are particularly welcome.

It all takes place from 7 – 9PM at Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill, Farmingville, NY. For additional information or to register, please call Women’s Services at (631) 698-2074.
