Leading Retailer Planet Beauty to Sell Flower Hair Clips to Raise Money for Komen Orange County Race for the Cure® and Breast Cancer Research.
Newport Beach, CA, June 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Planet Beauty announces its fifth year as corporate sponsor of the Susan G.Komen Orange County Race for the Cure® to be held on Sunday, September 27, 2009, at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA. Planet Beauty employees will once again unite with top beauty brands O.P.I., Bare Escentuals, DDF, and Murad, to raise funds, provide support, and donate beauty treats to participants on Race Day.
In the weeks leading up to Race Day, participants are invited to visit Planet Beauty's Newport Beach and Dana Point locations in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Planet Beauty will be selling flower hairclips handmade by breast cancer survivor and longtime Planet Beauty Sales Associate Pam Tayebi. Pam was diagnosed with breast cancer last year during a routine mammogram. Due to early detection, doctors were able to remove the lump before the disease spread. Pam is currently undergoing radiation treatment and appears to be cancer free.
Now with a $14 purchase of a flower hair clip Planet Beauty will donate at least $7 toward the Komen Orange County Race for the Cure, an event that raises crucial funds for treatment, screening and groundbreaking breast cancer research.
Each year the Planet Beauty booth is tremendously popular,attracting an enormous crowd of visitors as early as 5:30 am on Race Day. All who visit the Planet Beauty booth at the Race wearing the flower hair clip will receive a very special gift as a thank you for showing support.
