Communities in Schools of North Carolina Announces 2009 North Carolina Education Ball Dancers

Raleigh, NC, June 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Linda Harrill, president and CEO of Communities In Schools of North Carolina (CISNC) (www.cisnc.org), a nonprofit that helps youths stay in school, has announced that six local personalities from the Triangle area will participate in a competitive dance event at the 2009 North Carolina Education Ball. The seventh annual Education Ball is scheduled for Friday, June 26 from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the RBC Center, and the theme will be ‘Rock The Dance.’

The ‘Rock The Dance’ dancers are:
· Acton Archie, former CIS student; CISNC board member; currently with SAS
· Laura Bromhal, Raleigh Realtor
· John Clark, ABC11 News Anchor
· Antwan Harris, former University of Virginia and New England Patriots football player
· Harvey Schmitt, president, Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce
· Billie Redmond, CEO, Coldwell Banker Commercial TradeMark Properties

The dancers will have the opportunity to accumulate points via an online voting system on the Education Ball’s Web site. Each vote will cost $10 and proceeds will benefit CISNC. The dancers will be performing an entertainment piece produced by Paige Holland Hamp and her partner, New York Broadway agent, Bobbie Merritt.
