Certification and Advanced Color-Matching Techniques Enables Packaging Service to Diversify

Barry Sanel Packaging Advisors achieves IoPP certification and expands to offer new print color services.

Carmel, NY, June 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Barry Sanel of Barry Sanel Packaging Advisors, a project management resource firm dedicated to helping beverage, food and cosmetic companies navigate the packaging industry, has been named a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) by the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP), a group committed to leadership in packaging.

The CPP designation is recognized as a commitment to excellence in the packaging profession. Recipients must have achieved a significant level of experience and expertise in the packaging industry and complete a comprehensive exam demonstrating their industry knowledge.

Sanel’s experience extends over 20 years in the printing and packaging industry which includes leading the repackaging of well known North American food and beverage brands such as Mott’s, Stewart’s Root Beer, Nantucket Nectars, Mistic Iced Tea and Yoo-hoo chocolate drink. Sanel used his experience and expertise in consumer product packaging to launch a project management resource firm in May of 2008.

“Barry helped us execute the re-launch of Schlitz and Red Bull Malt liquor brands and several of their micro-brews by making production suggestions, attending press checks at several packaging printers and made sure that the packaging was printed to spec and on-color. Barry stepped in on short notice and got the results that we needed for these very complicated packaging jobs,” says Lee Rogan, Founding Partner, BRZoom, a marketing services agency in Wilton, CT.

Sanel launched Barry Sanel Packaging Advisors to provide a production management service that helps CPG companies and design firms execute packaging and provide resources that bridge the gap between the different phases of the packaging process.

One of the biggest challenges in the packaging industry today is matching color across packaging components and printing facilities. Sanel responded to the need for small businesses to achieve color standard and consistency on press by adding a unique and proprietary color matching process, which is highlighted by the use of advanced color management tools and techniques.

“Major Beverage and CPG Companies are already using these techniques to make sure the packaging message is the same no matter where the packaging is made. By bringing these concepts to smaller companies and design agencies, BSPA can make sure the package is printed right the first time and every time,” says Sanel.
