Siteworx Co-Sponsoring UN Malaria Health Initiative "Nothing But Nets"

“Technology, Social Networking, and Philanthropy” Panel and Happy Hour.

Reston, VA, June 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Siteworx, Inc. is proud to support the battle against malaria by co-sponsoring the Nothing But Nets event, “Technology, Social Networking, and Philanthropy” alongside Berico Technologies.

Nothing But Nets is a United Nations children’s health initiative to raise awareness about malaria and malaria-related deaths, specifically of children in Africa. The funds raised on behalf of Nothing But Nets go to the purchase and distribution of bed nets in countries and communities with the greatest need. So far, the organization has distributed over 2.7 million nets.

The goal of the event is to infuse philanthropic efforts with the technological tools needed for success. It will include a panel discussion on leveraging social networking tools for awareness and advocacy, followed by a networking happy hour. The panel of experts include: Guy L. Filippelli, CEO of Berico Technologies, Giovanni Calabro, Vice President of User Experience at Siteworx, Inc., and Elizabeth Gore, Executive Director of Partnership Alliances & Nothing But Nets.

The event will take place Friday, June 19 from 5-7pm at the Clarendon Ballroom as part of the Nothing But Nets Washington, DC city tour. City tours engage people across the United States in malaria awareness and are fundamental to the campaign’s success. The D.C. tour will include a partner rally, faith event, youth event, business event, in-arena event, and social-experiential marketing, June 15-20.
