Newton, MA, June 18, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- Busy individuals can now plan dinner on the go with the recent launch of the DinnerBeat mobile site. DinnerBeat is a free website that helps users generate meal plans by organizing their recipes and printing shopping lists. Unlike other meal-planning sites, DinnerBeat adds a social aspect by allowing members to link to friends, exchange recipes and explore each other’s meal plans.
The new mobile site allows users to create meal plans from any mobile phone with Internet access. Members can access all the functionalities of the full site, including scheduling meals for the week, retrieving previously scheduled recipes and viewing their friend’s profiles. Users who may have forgotten to print out their shopping list for the week can easily obtain their online shopping list via their phone while they browse through the supermarket aisles.
DinnerBeat’s founder, Liz Jimenez, created the site to help busy people save time by making it easy for users to plan meals. The free meal-planning website was released from beta 10 months ago and continues to grow exponentially. “Our members were clamoring for a mobile site, as many of them are often swamped in their daily lives and find themselves unable to sit down in front of a computer to do weekly meal planning,” says Jimenez, a mother of two. “Now they can figure out what’s for dinner wherever they may be – in between meetings, on the train from work or with their kids at the playground.”
Current members can now access the site via their mobile device at http://m.dinnerbeat.com. To become a member of DinnerBeat, visit http://www.dinnerbeat.com
MIT graduate Liz Jimenez founded DinnerBeat in 2007 in Newton, MA, to help people plan and schedule meals through its easy-to-use interface.
A personal project which developed into a public website, DinnerBeat quickly grew into a large community of members who use, create and share recipes.
