Dover, NH, June 19, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- Provisional Security Group, a provider of business protection security services, today announced that Darrin Maggy participated in a conference focused on the new challenges in the regulatory environment for personally identifiable information (PII). The June 18 meeting provided key insights for businesses on the strict regulations required by Massachusetts (Massachusetts Data Protection Regulations, 201 CMR17.00) for the protection of this type of data.
Darrin Maggy joined a panel of cross-industry experts from Nutter, McClennen & Fish, LLP and Chubb Specialty Insurance to consider the issues and solutions for businesses facing this new legislation.
"In 2009 we have seen growing numbers of security breaches involving personal information and the state legislation rightly seeks to address these troubling incidents," advised Darrin Maggy, president of Provisional Security Group. "Businesses charged with this ultimate responsibility also face their own business continuity. So there is nothing more important, and less acknowledged, than taking the necessary steps to instill security awareness and accountability throughout an organization."
The Cyber Liability Conference was by invitation and was held at Chubb Insurance, 8th Floor, One Financial Center, Boston, MA 02111.
