Lightning Hybrids to Demonstrate 100 MPG Sports Sedan at Open House on June 26

Loveland, CO, June 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lightning Hybrids will host an Open House to demonstrate the world’s first 100 mile per gallon hydraulic hybrid sports sedan. The event will be held on June 26 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. in Loveland. To R.S.V.P. for the event or for more information please email lightninghybrids@gmail.com. Location and directions will be sent prior to the event.

“We are very excited about showing how the hydraulic hybrid works. The car will be running, though we have to save actual test drives for later this summer,” said Dan Johnson, Lightning Hybrids CEO. “We will also be answering the number one question we receive about the car which is ‘How does it open?’ We will be able to show you how the door functions and guests will be welcome to sit in the car.”

Lightning Hybrids’ LH4, a four-seat sports sedan, will average 100 miles to the gallon on clean diesel or biodiesel and will be able to go 0 to 60 in under six seconds. The LH4 will be available in 2011 and the company already has a waiting list for the car. The car will also be available in a three-wheeled four-seat car, called the LH3, and the hydraulic-biodiesel hybrid drivetrain will be available in a retrofit kit suitable for fleets as well. The LH3 and the drivetrain retrofit will be available in 2010.

In addition to the Open House, Lightning Hybrids’ car will be featured in the June 27 Horsetooth Rock Concours D'Elegance hosted by the Rocky Mountain Jaguar Club. This event is at City Park in Fort Collins and runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
