Origin Healthcare Solutions’ (OHS) Connecticut operating center, formerly SSIMED, announces a partnership with TransEngen to help providers collect patient payments more efficiently to reduce billing and collection efforts, improve cash flow and reduce bad debt. This integrated solution is available in Origin Manager, OHS’s recently unveiled, practice and clinical management solution.

The system captures and stores patient bank account or credit card information securely to collect a one-time payment or for use in processing future payments. The integration eliminates the need for duplicate data entry, large bulky credit card machines and extra phone lines. Co-pays, deductibles and self-pay can be easily collected at the time of service along with partial payments and past balances.

Also available to clients is the Account on File service. Account on File provides the ability to securely store a patient’s form of payment, and capture authorization to access funds for future transactions or recurring payment plans, dramatically improving patient collections.
