Hope Hospice Learning Series on Preserving Memories

New Braunfels, TX, June 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- As Hope Hospice’s recognition of its twenty-fifth anniversary year continues, the organization announces two free classes on family histories. Preserving Family Memories, which will be presented in two parts, offers people creative and practical ways of documenting your family’s rich history of stories, successes and challenges.

Preserving Memories I, Scrapbooking by Scrapbook Haus

Tuesday, June 30: Whether you’re new to scrapbooking or a seasoned pro, learn new techniques and meet other scrappers. The first 60 registrants will receive a free scrapbooking kit, compliments of Scrapbook Haus that includes materials to make one scrapbook page. Participants should arrive 10 minutes prior to start time and bring 2 or 3 photos no larger than 4x6” and a pair of scissors.

Preserving Memories II, Family Biographies by David Ferguson, KGNB News Director

Tuesday, July 14: From capturing the world through your child’s eyes or preserving a favorite story your grandmother tells, get professional interviewing tips to capture the experiences that make your family unique on audio or video.

David Ferguson has been working in radio for twelve years, and has served as the News Director of KGNB AM 1420/KNBT 92.1 FM for the last nine. He regularly interviews local, state and national politicians, dignitaries and authors. You can catch this presenter on the air weekday mornings 6-9 a.m. on AM 1420 and 92.1 FM.
