Maps101 to Unveil New National Geographic Content at NECC in Washington, D.C.

Maps101, the leading online social studies teaching resource, will unveil new National Geographic content at the National Educational Computing Conference June 28-July 1, 2009, in Washington, D.C.

Washington, DC, June 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The National Geographic content, new to Maps101 in June 2009 following a recently signed deal, will be demonstrated at the Maps101 booth #2257. The National Geographic Collection brings together video footage, maps and exclusive classroom activities.

“We would like every teacher, administrator, curriculum coordinator and technology director to see firsthand how a Maps101 subscription is now a greater value than ever before,” said Loraine Klotz, national sales director for Maps101. “There can be no greater testament to our commitment to schools than the inclusion of such incomparable social studies materials.”

One of the highlights of the four-day show will be a raffle for a National Geographic Everest globe worth more than $7,000. All scanned visitors to the Maps101 booth #2257 will be eligible, and the winner will be drawn at the end of the show.

Maps101 provides content suitable for a variety of social studies subjects, including history, earth science and geography. Subscribers get unlimited access to content from any Internet-connected PC, meaning that students and parents can access the material outside of the classroom.
