iPeriod's Email Alerts for Expected and Late Periods Help Keep Women on Track

Scotts Valley, CA, June 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Apple's "There's an app for that" rings true with Winkpass Creations, Inc.'s latest release of iPeriod, which sends email alerts to women when their menstrual cycles are expected or late.

iPeriod's previous version already included in-app alerts, but Winkpass Creations, Inc. received ongoing requests for the addition of email alerts. Cheryl Atkinson-Derman, Director of Product Development at Winkpass Creations, Inc. says, "Women were writing to us, describing their busy lives, juggling school, careers and families. They were saying that iPeriod has simplified one aspect of life and that email reminders would make the app ideal."

iPeriod was first released in September 2008 and immediately proved to be something that women appreciated. Customers submitted suggestions to Winkpass Creations, Inc. and iPeriod has continued to improve and grow since that time, with regular updates and responsive support.

iPeriod's visual calendar allows users to view their cycles at a glance. Colorful icons representing mood, flow, cramps, love connections, spotting, notes and customized icons appear on the calendar as indicated by the user. "It really helps women better understand their cycles and bodies, and even recognize health trends related to hormonal fluctuations," says Atkinson-Derman.

Winkpass Creations, Inc. currently offers multiple applications for sale on iTunes, with iPeriod, Knot Guide and Friend Mapper being the most popular. Other calendar apps from Winkpass Creations, Inc. include Cycling Log and Illness Tracker. The company was founded in August 2008.
