Shoppers will be able to purchase by borough as well as find eco-friendly gifts made in New York City. Local Labels will be carrying products such as porcelain "take-out" dishes from Lorena Barrezueta, graffiti lighting from Brooklyn based company RE-SURFACE, body products by Staten Island manufacturer Jenulence, cork wallets by Tracey Tanner and more. Products chosen for the shopper that is on the go. Light weight, easy to travel and most importantly made in NYC.
Local Labels launched in 2007 to support established and emerging small-scale producers in New York City. The company is the city's only source for specialty foods and gifts that are made within New York's five boroughs. Purchasing from local manufacturers cuts down on fossil fuels spent when people purchase from out-of-state and overseas vendors. Their vendors are craftspeople and manufacturers who live within New York City and put their hard-earned money back into the local and regional economy.
