Entrepreneurs and Investors Invited to Meet at Summit

Peterborough, NH, July 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Individuals and businesses interested in securing or providing investment capital are invited to take part in the second annual Speed Venture Summit™ on Tuesday, October 28, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza in Nashua, New Hampshire. The event is the premier speed-dating-style event for fast-growth businesses and investors in New England, and brought to you by the New Hampshire High Technology Council and the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center.

Participating businesses will represent all sectors and development stages, from start-up to later-stage and will “speed pitch” to the region’s savviest and shrewdest investors, ranging from individuals and Angels to venture capital firms and private equity and mezzanine financers. Organizers expect that a total of approximately 50 companies will speed-pitch to 25 different investor groups in private 1:1 sessions throughout the afternoon.

According to Fred Kocher, president of the NH High Technology Council, “The response from both businesses and investors at last year’s summit certainly demonstrated the need for this type of platform in New Hampshire. We’re pleased to be involved for a second year and look forward to connecting cutting edge high tech companies in NH and New England with the capital that is essential for fast growth.”

The “speed-pitching” segment of the Summit will be held from 2:00 to 5:00pm, and will be followed by a two-hour business networking session open to the public that will provide an excellent opportunity for young companies to gain exposure and knowledge around seeking investment capital. The event will end with a pitch-off from among the day’s top companies.

“We anticipate a dynamic event that will offer an amazing opportunity for both entrepreneurs and investors, the two elements that are so critical for job creation and economic growth in New Hampshire, and the timing couldn’t be better,” said Mary Collins, State Director of the NH Small Business Development Center.

The lead sponsors for Speed Venture Summit™ 2009 are KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting and Alexander Technology Group.
