ERA to Offer Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance

New insurance plan to help buyers protect against losing their jobs.

Yorba Linda, CA, July 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- New Offering to Assist Buyers and Sellers.

ERA NOC Enables Home Sellers to Offer Mortgage Payment Protection Coverage to their Home Buyers in the Event of Job Loss.

ERA Real Estate Offers Sellers the Opportunity to Give Prominence to their Listing by Offering Peace of Mind to On-the-Fence Buyers.

ERA NOC announced today that it is making Mortgage Payment Protection Coverage available to home sellers to better attract homebuyers who may be hesitant to commit due to the uncertainties of job security. If purchased by a home seller, the program provides a qualified home buyer with a monthly benefit of up to $1,500 for up to four or six months in the event the buyer becomes unemployed or accidentally disabled, or a lump sum payment in the case of accidental death.

“With the current state of the job market, we are giving our sellers the opportunity to offer this insurance coverage as an additional feature on their home listing to attract more potential buyers,” said Duane Beisner, Manager of ERA NOC. “Having this safety net on top of historically low mortgage rates, affordable home prices and the first-time home buyer tax credit, makes the decision to buy now far more compelling.”

There are no sign up fees for brokers or sellers, and no insurance premium is paid by the seller until the closing. The cash benefits are paid directly to the home buyer through PayCheck Guardian, the sponsor of this Mortgage Payment Protection Coverage.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the national average length of unemployment is 21 weeks. With this coverage of up to 16-24 weeks depending on the coverage plan selected, the Mortgage Payment Protection Coverage program could pay up to $1,500 per month on top of any existing state unemployment benefits that may be received, depending on state unemployment guidelines.

Insurance benefits are subject to certain vesting, waiting and elimination periods, pre-existing health provisions, and limitations as set forth in the Certificate of Insurance provided through PayCheck Guardian.
