Green Giraffe Spotted in NYC

Project Green Label, launched in Spring 2008, is a young contemporary clothing line, dedicated to the manufacture of environmentally responsible clothing.

New York, NY, July 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Who is this giraffe we are seeing around town?

The “giraffe” aka Project Green Label, is a new line of organic and eco-friendly clothing with a cultural and social mission.

Their graphic and basic clothing is not only about looking good with iconic images and messages but also about positive change.

Project Green Label only uses sustainable fabrics, such as bamboo, hemp, and recycled or organic cottons. These radical new fabrics are excellent alternatives to the highly toxic conventional textiles that are used today.

According to Project Green Label’s President Larry Rosenblum “Using organic cotton and eco-friendly fabrics should not be the exception but the norm. Taking harmful pesticides out of the soil and off our bodies is just one of our objectives, looking good and at a price that is competitive to conventional cotton is another.”

Giving back to targeted charities is also part of the Project Green Label mission. A portion of profits from all proceeds are being donated to the Arbor Day Foundation, which plants trees to help clean the air of harmful greenhouse gases. Other environmental projects are also being explored.
