Southern Doorman, Inc Partnering with the NRAEF for National Food Safety Education Month 2006

Atlanta, GA, August 26, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Southern Doorman, Inc announced today it will partner with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) and participate in the 2006 National Food Safety Education Month ®, this September, to showcase its commitment to food safety education and training. This year’s theme, “Don’t Compromise – Clean and Sanitize” focuses on the procedures necessary for preparing food safely.

This annual food safety campaign strives to: build awareness of the restaurant and foodservice industry’s commitment to serving safe food, heighten awareness about the importance of food safety education, and encourage additional food safety training for all industry employees.

In support of the campaign, Southern Doorman is conducting a mass mailing to its customer list, informing them of the month-long event. They are also offering discounts on its revolutionary new product, the Sanidoor Opener system. The Sanidoor Opener system combines the “touch-free” technology so commonly seen in public restrooms today with a good sprinkling of ingenuity. After patrons or employees have washed their hands and are exiting the public restroom, they simply wave their hand in front of a sensor and the door opens automatically. This allows both patrons and workers to avoid the recognized bacterial hot-zone on the restroom door handle. Additionally, the system makes the restroom friendlier to the disabled, elderly, children and parents with infants in arms.

“We are excited about participating in this month-long campaign,” said James Bates, President of Southern Doorman, Inc.. “Americans are aware of food safety now more than ever before and, through National Food Safety Education Month, we have the opportunity to highlight what we are doing to help the restaurant and foodservice industry to educate their employees on proper food safety procedures.”
