Pain Management Expert Margo McCaffery Will Present Free Workshop at The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura


The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura is offering a free pain management workshop for people with cancer and their families. Finding Your Comfort Zone: What Every Cancer Patient Should Know About Managing Pain with Margo McCaffery, RN, MS, FAAN will take place on Thursday, July 30, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura, 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village, CA 91361.

Westlake Village, CA, July 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura is offering a free pain management workshop for people with cancer and their families. Finding Your Comfort Zone: What Every Cancer Patient Should Know About Managing Pain with Margo McCaffery, RN, MS, FAAN will take place on Thursday, July 30, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura, 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village, CA 91361. Take control of your fears and anxiety about pain, or the anticipation of future pain, by getting the straight facts about cancer pain myths. Bring your questions, concerns, thoughts, and feelings about pain. This workshop is informative and helpful even for people not currently experiencing pain. Margo McCaffery is a nationally known consultant in the field of nursing pain management and author of Pain, Clinical Manual.

Founded in 1982, The Wellness Community is an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing free support, education and hope to people with cancer and their loved ones at over 100 locations worldwide including 24 U.S.-based and 2 international centers with 73 satellite and off-site programs. Through participation in professionally-led support groups, educational workshops, nutrition and exercise programs, and stress-reduction classes, people affected by cancer learn vital skills that enable them to regain control, reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of their disease.
