San Diego, CA, July 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Registration for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training Begins Tuesday, July 27

If you’re looking for a way to get fit and accomplish a personal goal, while also doing something to help others in need, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training® (TNT) may be the answer.

TNT, the world’s first, biggest and best sports training program, provides four to five months of certified coaching, a supportive group of teammates and clinics on nutrition, gear and injury prevention, to help you complete a marathon, half marathon, triathlon, century ride or hike adventure. TNT has prepared more than 400,000 participants, from novices to accomplished endurance racers, since its inception in 1988. In that time, TNT participants have raised more than $950 million to support LLS’s blood cancer research and patient services initiatives.

“Team In Training gives you everything you need to reach your fitness goals while helping make a difference in the lives of thousands of people battling cancer,” said Debbie Hoogestraat.

LLS’s San Diego/Hawaii Chapter is currently recruiting TNT participants for events including the inaugural Women’s Running Magazine Women’s Half Marathon to Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, in St. Petersburg, Fla., the Honolulu Marathon, in Honolulu, HI and Hike Warner Springs, in Warner Springs, CA. Learn more at any one of information meetings for our upcoming winter season. For additional TNT information, call the San Diego/Hawaii Chapter at (858) 277-1800.
