Hearst Magazines Digital Media Partners with Roiworld.com to Launch Fun Dress-Up Games on Seventeen.com

First game to include finalists from America’s Next Top Model

New York, NY, July 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Hearst Magazines Digital Media (HMDM) and Roiworld.com, a unique web site where fashion meets games, today announced the launch of Roiworld-produced dress-up games on Seventeen.com, with the first game featuring the finalists from America’s Next Top Model, which has an ongoing partnership with Seventeen.

Roiworld, part of the Lifetime Digital family, created the co-branded dress-up games specifically to be shared with Seventeen.com, which is promoting the games on its homepage and within the pages of Seventeen. In addition, HMDM and Roiworld will syndicate video and editorial content across both sites to further support participation and user engagement.

"Roiworld and Seventeen are a perfect pairing,” said Kris Soumas, who heads up both Roiworld.com and Lifetime Game Studios. “Roiworld’s audience is composed of millions of youthful, fashion forward women from around the world. These players come to Roiworld.com for the Dress-Up game of the day--as well as thousands of other fashion, beauty and celebrity games--as part of their daily routine. By adding complementary editorial content from Seventeen, we will make our users' experience even better."

The first dress-up games have already been wildly popular, generating over a million plays across both sites since they launched. The games feature the four finalists from America’s Next Top Model, and players are able to dress-up, accessorize and further customize using an assortment of hair styles.

Clothes for the game were designed based on current trends and actual styles worn by the models throughout Cycle 12 of America’s Next Top Model. Additionally, Seventeen fans can choose to outfit their avatars in Seventeen-branded clothing or with the current issue of Seventeen. Users can then share their creations with friends and family using social media tools that are built into the system.

“Teen girls visit Seventeen.com over and over again because of our engaging content,” said Seventeen editor in chief, Ann Shoket. “Roiworld is a great partner for Seventeen. Their unique tools and dress-up games resonate well with our 13 million print readers and 1.6 million unique visitors online.”

These games are a first step for the Seventeen/Roiworld partnership. Future plans include integrating editorial content from Seventeen into relevant sections of Roiworld, creating custom games based on exclusive Seventeen content and driving subscriptions to Seventeen through special offers on Roiworld.com.
