Raleigh Ducks Unlimited Holds 1st Annual Reverse Raffle Banquet to Promote Wetlands and Waterfowl Conservation

The Raleigh Ducks Unlimited Chapter will be sponsoring its first annual reverse raffle banquet to promote wetlands and waterfowl conservation.

Raleigh, NC, July 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Raleigh Ducks Unlimited Chapter will be sponsoring its First Annual Reverse Raffle Banquet on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the Holshouser Building at the NC State Fairgrounds, beginning at 6:30pm.

A Reverse Raffle will be held with a grand prize of $10,000 in addition to many other exciting cash and prizes. Tickets are $100 and include dinner, open bar, and one raffle ticket. All ticket purchases are 100% tax deductable and include membership into Ducks Unlimited. In addition the reverse raffle, many other exciting games will be held including Shotgun Pull, Duck Drop, Over/Under, among others.

Ducks Unlimited is the world’s leader in North American wetlands and waterfowl conservation. Their mission is to conserve, restore and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl, as these habitats also other wildlife and people. Through habitat conservation programs, they have conserved 4,130,288 acres of land in the US alone, and have conserved over 12,612,968 acres of land throughout North America.

The Raleigh Ducks Unlimited Chapter has been in the top 10 chapters across the country in terms of fundraising for the past several years. The Chapter holds three banquets per year including a Spring Sponsor Banquet, Reverse Raffle and the Fall Banquet, which is held annually in November.
