NHRD is an all-woman, skater-owned, flat-track roller derby league with members from Central/Southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts. NHRD was founded in July 2007 with the intention of bringing roller derby to New Hampshire and providing a new and exciting form of entertainment, while also serving as a charitable organization in the community. There is no typical roller girl. The league is comprised of strong, intelligent women who share a goal of emotional growth and physical strength through the sport of roller derby. They come in a variety of backgrounds, ages, shapes and skill levels. New Hampshire Roller Derby follows the guidelines and standards set forth by Women’s Flat Track Derby Association. About Roller Derby
Roller derby has experienced a nationwide explosion in the past few years, and now it's found its way to New Hampshire. This gang of fearless female athletes offers more than your average sporting event. Roller derby is a full contact, aggressive, competitive sport conducted on four-wheeled skates.

Roller derby involves two teams of four blockers skating around an elliptical track, while a point scorer from each team ("the jammer") tries to fight their way through, gaining a point for each opposing player they pass. Trips, grabs, elbows, head-butts and fist-fighting are all illegal – but spine-crunching shoulder barges, hip checks and booty blocks are totally legit.
