New Knee1.com, the Largest Orthopedic-Only Site, Now Integrates Twitter
Cambridge, MA, August 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Body1, Inc. announces the incorporation of streaming Twitter ‘tweets’ in conjunction with the re-launch of the enhanced knee community, http://www.Knee1.com . The Twitter ‘tweets’ feature provides streaming updates of ‘tweets’ about knee surgery and knee related issues and enhances Knee1.com through education, community participation, and further discussion of knee issues.
“Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent messages. People write short updates, often called ‘tweets’ of 140 characters or fewer. These messages are posted to your profile or your blog, sent to your followers, and are searchable on Twitter search.” (Twitter.com)
In order to better serve the Knee1 community, the new site allows users to be fully integrated at all times via Twitter. With its redesign, Knee1.com is the first Body1 website to offer the latest ‘tweets’ live from Twitter. The new feature is located under the Community section and streams the most recent ‘tweets’ about knee surgery, the Sports Care section displays ‘tweets’ specifically pertaining to a common sports injury, and the Chronic Care section features ‘tweets’ about chronic knee pain.
As a targeted health site, the new Knee1.com is designed to directly connect with consumers, friends, and families who are facing knee problems. Knee1.com’s new design and updated content includes community tools such as Blogs and Forums, an Education Center for conditions, diagnostics, therapies and knee anatomy, a Care Tools section comprised of an online Fitness Center, Preparing for Surgery Advice and a Symptom Checker. Other advantages of the new Knee1.com include a Multimedia Video section, a Physician Locator, Knee1 Hero News, Sports Care, and the latest breaking news and research about knees.
In addition to the new features of http://www.Knee1.com and the stream of latest ‘tweets’, users can now follow Knee1.com on Twitter at http://twitter.com/knee1.
