11th Annual Tewksbury Harvest Festival Scheduled for 9/26/2009

Califon, NJ, September 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The 11th Annual Tewksbury Harvest Festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26, from noon to 4 pm at Christie Hoffman Farm in Califon, NJ, with a rain date of Sept. 27. This much-loved festival is sponsored by the Tewksbury Rescue Squad and Public Library and the efforts of many local Tewksbury Township volunteers. Co-organizer Jeff Anderson said, "Last year's festival was rained out, which was a huge disappointment after all the effort and excitement that went into it. We added the rain date this year to ensure the event will take place." This year's Harvest Festival will feature hot air balloon rides, live music by the Bonnie Bowland Band, a petting zoo, pony rides, dance exhibitions, a classic car show, pumpkin painting, a tricky tray, and new this year: a large craft show featuring handmade arts and crafts by local artisans. The craft show is being organized by The Craftique Creations and Promotions, a NJ-based event planner that specializes in promoting handmade goods. Craftique Director Christine Cuccio Radlmann said, "The Harvest Festival had featured some handmade crafts in the past, but nothing like this year's scale. There will be more than 50 vendors of such handmade goods as birdhouses, quilts, jewelry, fine art, children's gifts and accessories, unique housewares, and more." Ms. Radlmann said that crafts complement the other festival activities. "While the children are painting pumpkins or going up in the hot-air balloon, parents can do some early holiday shopping."
