HobnobCharleston Supports Charleston Fun Club in Setting a New World Record

Charleston, SC, August 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Hobnobcharleston is so excited to announce support for the Charleston Fun Club in the effort to break a world record for the largest egg toss. This is a huge event in partnership with the Charleston RiverDogs designed to raise money for the MUSC Children’s Hospital. The egg toss is scheduled for August 30, 2009 at the Joe Riley Stadium. Tickets are between $5.00 and $7.00 and the whole family is encouraged to come out and be a part of this unique event. Meet Charlie T. RiverDog and get out on the field to make history. The current record stands at 1162 (according to Guinness) and was set on the 4th of July 2008 from a town called Skagway in Alaska. Not only is this a great way to raise money for MUSC Children’s Hospital, but could also place Charleston SC in the Guinness Book of World Records. Turnout is key, needing 1163 people on the field by 3:00 is a large task.

The egg toss will take place at 3:00 pm, but participants are to gather in Brittlebank Park by 2:00. Don’t forget to bring a picnic and have some pre-fun beginning as early as you would like. There are several places to get tickets. You can go to HobnobCharleston or Charleston Fun Club for more information. Email info@charlestonfunclub.com .
