Study Indicates Majority of Small Business Owners and Managers Believe the Worst of the Economic Crisis is Yet to Come

Buffalo Grove, IL, August 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The majority, or approximately 58%, of small business owners and managers think the worst of the economic crisis is not yet behind us, according to a Small Business Research Board (SBRB) study conducted in conjunction with IPA.

Small business owners and managers in the Northeast region displayed the highest amount of confidence regarding the current economic crisis, as approximately 50% of survey participants located in this region indicated they believe the worst of the economic crisis has passed.

Survey participants located in the West/Pacific region exhibited the least amount of confidence regarding the current economic situation, as approximately 62% of those surveyed in this region feel that the worst of the economic crisis is not yet behind us.

The Small Business Research Board ascertains and reports the opinions of small business owners and managers on various topics related to their own companies as well as national and international issues that may impact their operations. The universe of participants is developed from among small businesses across the United States.

The SBRB conducts these studies for the benefit of small business owners and managers. In addition, the SBRB provides opportunities for third parties to gain real-time insight into the attitudes of small businesses nationwide through the independently conducted research.

The SBRB study is a voluntary survey conducted via phone and e-mail. The latest information about the Small Business Research Board can be found at www.ipasbrb.net.
