Poll Shows Majority of Small Businesses Believe Small Business Economy Will Improve by End of 2009

Buffalo Grove, IL, August 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The majority, or approximately 54%, of small business owners and managers believe the economy for small business will improve by the end of 2009, according to a Small Business Research Board (SBRB) study conducted in conjunction with IPA.

Of all U.S. regions, businesses in the Northeast region displayed the most confidence regarding the small business economy, as approximately 56% of participants surveyed in this region indicated they believe the economy for small business will improve by the end of the year.

Small business owners and managers in the West/Pacific region indicated the least amount of confidence regarding this topic, as approximately 49% of those surveyed stated they do not believe the economy for small business will improve by the end of 2009.

The Small Business Research Board ascertains and reports the opinions of small business owners and managers on a wide variety of topics related to their own businesses as well as national and international issues that may impact their operations. These studies are conducted for the benefit of small business owners and managers.
