Trinity Academy of Raleigh’s Choral Group Participates in "Spice Up Your Harmony" Camp

Raleigh, NC, August 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Robert Littlejohn, head of school at Trinity Academy of Raleigh (www.trinityacademy.com), a preK-12 college preparatory school community located in North Raleigh, has announced that the Bobbie Pins, the academy’s all girls barbershop ensemble, participated in the Region 14 Sweet Adelines Summer Camp 2009, “Spice Up Your Harmony,” held at Radford University in Radford, Va.

The five members of the Bobbie Pins include Hannah Nelson, Annetta Kinton, Kristin Martin, Courtney Stoner and Victoria Oliver. The choral group received training from world-renown vocal coach Nancy Shumard, and had the opportunity to perform as a small group and as part of a larger chorus at the summer camp.

“We are happy that the Bobbie Pins took advantage of this great opportunity to learn from nationally and internationally recognized vocal coaches,” said Dr. Littlejohn. “We are excited to see what great performances the Bobbie Pins put-on during the upcoming school year.”

“I was able to attend several sessions with the girls hosted by national coaches and teachers,” said Cameron Hayden, music teacher at Trinity Academy of Raleigh, who accompanied her students on the trip. “We have brought back several new and exciting ideas for the 2009-2010 year.”
