What’s Up Interactive Announces the Relaunch of Its Flagship Web Site at whatsup.com

Atlanta Interactive Agency Prepares to Celebrate 20 Years in Business

Atlanta, GA, September 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- One of the south’s fastest growing marketing agencies, What’s Up Interactive, has launched a new online presence with the relaunch of whatsup.com.

“Our new design is a sharper, more focused reflection to what we bring to our clients,” says founder and CEO Richard Warner. “The evolution of online marketing is an incredibly dynamic process — a year ago Twitter was irrelevant — and we’ve worked hard to be proficient with all the important aspects of an interactive marketing campaign.

“Whether it’s been social media strategies for Fox Television, a next-generation media center for The Coca-Cola Company, or a search engine strategy that has helped boost online ticket sales for the Georgia Aquarium, we deliver work and execution.”

One of the goals for the new site is to demonstrate the caliber of the agency’s clients, and the level of work delivered for those companies. This month, for example, Georgia Lottery, for example, named What’s Up as its interactive agency of record.

“Our clients represent world-class companies,” Warner said. “They’re some of the world’s leading marketers. All have very clear ideas about success and high expectations of what they expect from us. You get a clear idea of our strategies for growing a company’s business.”

What’s Up Interactive began life as a very different company in 1989. It was started on the premise that emerging communications mediums – in this instance one of the first fax machines -- could be used in ways no one had dreamed of. The result was What's Up Atlanta, an innovative local daily press release digest that allowed companies and organizations to efficiently communicate newsworthy information to Atlanta’s news media.

When the Web emerged as a marketing platform in 1995, What’s Up branched into Web development, producing sites for WAGA TV, the Kilgannon Agency and a British manufacturer of board games. The agency still has its first computer, a Macintosh SE purchased for $4,000. It came complete with a 20 megabyte hard drive.

“Today we have smartphones with far more computing power than our first Mac, at a fraction of what we paid in 1989,” Warner said. “If there’s something we’ve learned as we approach 20 years in business, it’s that the method of delivering the message always evolves, but what makes a powerful message to potential customers remains the same.”
