Iloveamilitaryman.com Offers Support for Military Wives and Girlfriends

At the newly launched, iloveamilitaryman.com, women who are involved with men in the military can come together and support one another.

Cleveland, OH, September 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Several women have come together from all over the country to create a website where girlfriends, fiancées, and wives of men in all branches of the military can come together.

The website aims to draw in users to the forums and the blog posts. The blog posts are authored by contributing writers and focus on relevant issues for military wives and girlfriends, such as moving, deployment, and being alone. They offer honest insight from varying points of view of what life is like for these women.

Contributing writer, Laura, created a unique logo for the website. It is a combat boot sitting next to a high heeled shoe. The hope is that one day this logo can be used for merchandise. The website colors are a girly modification of red, white, and blue; a magenta white and blue look.

“There are some really great websites out there already, but a lot of them are specific to a certain branch of the military, or they really only have a forum. Being a writer, I wanted something more. I wanted to be able to read other girl’s stories and share my own,” says founder, Heidi Baker, “I’ve been really touched by all of the blog posts we’ve had so far.” Some of the web’s other great sites can be found on iloveamilitaryman.com’s “Links We Love” page.

Iloveamilitaryman.com takes the discretion of military members and their families very seriously. The terms and conditions page explains OPSEC rules, and why women should be careful what they say on the website for the safety of their men.

There is also a fan page on Facebook and an account with Twitter; both can be found on the main page of the website. The girls hope that many will take advantage of the website and come to share their stories and strike up coversation.
