Several Celebrity Artists Make Deal to Create Artwork for Chocolate Company's 2007 Spring Packaging
Belgique, a Northern California gourmet chocolate company has received commitments from several well-known celebrities who are also visual artists, to create original artwork for company's packaging in exchange Belgique will donate a significant portion of profits from the sales of the spring gift boxes to each celebrity's favorite charity.

Linda Bartlett, founder and owner of the exclusive boutique chocolate company announced today that, "In exchange for donating their original art for use on Belgique's spring packaging early next year, we will donate a significant portion of our profits from the sales of the Truffle Gateau gift boxes to each celebrity's favorite designated charity."
Belgique's Truffle Gateaux packaging is unique in that each one is individually wrapped in colored foil and then labeled with original pastel artwork illustrating each Truffle Gateau variety with a nostalgic old-fashioned look to each one. The original labels were conceived by the company's owner and then illustrated by a local artist.
A Truffle Gateau is an original award-winning confection, the recipe created by James Keys and Linda Bartlett in 1986. The Truffle Gateaux are baked like a brownie, but taste more like a rich and creamy truffle. Each one is baked with Callebaut dark and milk chocolate and all natural ingredients. After baking they are each individually wrapped in foil and then labeled with the original pastel artwork labels.
Currently they carry nine different varieties including their 23 Carat Egyptian Gold Truffle Gateau, each one is decorated by hand with pure edible 23 carat gold.
