Subhendu's Method of Subtraction Using Vedic Maths Technique

Subhendu Sen, a Vedic Maths teacher, has recently disclosed a new method of subtraction using Nikhilam sutra of Vedic Mathematics. Using this method, any complex arithmetical subtraction can be solved very easily.

Mumbai, India, September 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Subhendu Sen, a noted Vedic Maths teacher, from Nerul, Navi Mumbai, India revealed an easy method of subtraction on the Teacher's Day of India, celebrated on 5th September of every year on the occasion of the birthday of Dr. Radhakrishnan, an educationist, philosopher and the second President of India.

When asked about his new subtraction method, Subhendu said, "This is a new method of easy subtraction using a Vedic Mathematics sutra (formula) named Nikhilam." He continued, "Nikhilam can be best used for particular kinds of subtractions where you have a number from 1 to 9 as the first digit and series of zeroes after that in the minuend (top line) of a subtraction. But, we do not get those kinds of sums always. The existing method of solving any other complex subtractions using Nikhilam is much tougher than this new method. The new method helps to convert any complex subtraction to a simple one, so that one can use the Nikhilam method easily."

Subhendu preferred to disclose this new method to the student community through web-based audio-visual seminar because he wanted to offer this method as a gift for this year's Teacher's Day to the people irrespective of his 3500+ students worldwide or otherwise.

He says, "Most of the students hate mathematics because they hate arithmetic. They hate arithmetic because there is no creativity. Arithmetic is taught first and we use it most in our daily life. But one can use his creativity in arithmetic too using Vedic Mathematics, because one can fix huge arithmetical problems using different formulae of Vedic Mathematics."

Vedic Mathematics tricks and techniques are well-known to mathematics scholars and its popularity is increasing day by day particularly for students who are preparing for CETs (Common Entrance Tests) for higher studies.

He sounded sad, when he said. "It's unfortunate that Vedic Mathematics is yet to be accepted as an 'official' method of calculation, even in India, where it was originated. But, I can only hope for the best!" He smiled at last.

The video recording showing Subhendu explains and demonstrates his new method of subtraction can be viewed at his website: http://www.MathsVedic.com. A PDF version of an article written by him explaining the same may also be viewed and downloaded from the same website.

Subhendu also offers a free eight-lesson introductory email course on Vedic Mathematics from his website.
