“Concrete for the Cure” to Support South Nassau’s Cancer Program

South Nassau’s cancer program will receive one dollar for every yard of concrete poured by Pioneer’s fleet of trucks, which includes a commemorative pink truck that is emblazoned with the South Nassau logo.

Oceanside, NY, September 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Pioneer Building Materials Corp. has named South Nassau Communities Hospital’s Comprehensive Cancer Center a beneficiary of its “Concrete for the Cure” project, which supports research, treatment and awareness of breast cancer.

South Nassau’s cancer program will receive one dollar for every yard of concrete poured by Pioneer’s fleet of trucks, which includes a commemorative pink truck that is emblazoned with the South Nassau logo.

“The pink truck recognizes and honors those who are battling the disease or are breast cancer survivors. It is designed to catch the eyes of pedestrians and motorists to raise their awareness about breast cancer,” said Richard Brienza, president of Pioneer Building Materials Corp. “South Nassau has been in the forefront of the fight against breast cancer and cancer in general. This is our way to express our appreciation for the hospital’s ardent, enduring work to combat cancer and provide the care and expertise that patients need to fight the disease.”

The company is a full service, family owned and operated building materials corporation, supplying mason materials, hardscape materials, veneering stone, ready-mix concrete, lumber, millwork and winter deicer to all of Nassau, Eastern Queens and Western Suffolk counties.
