Classified Concepts has launched a new website to promote its CCText service for Classified Advertisers.

CCText provides Classified Advertisers with a simple tool to make listings interactive. Readers can text a unique code to receive enhanced information by text message including directions, detailed information, photographs and links to mobile web applications.

“It isn’t a question of if, but when?” according to Client Services Manager Sarah Sinclair. “Around 8.6 million households in the USA already use text message or email to receive discounts and information prior to purchase. CCText offers Classified Advertisers a chance to be part of the conversation.”

The website offers a humorous look at texting and includes a ‘Miss Texty Phone’ beauty pageant in which visitors can vote and win prizes.

In spite of the humor, however, the message is serious, “if newspapers are looking to maintain a stronghold in their readers’ daily lives, and regain their local advertisers’ marketing spend/dollars, text messaging is an innovation they cannot afford to overlook,” remarks Sinclair.
