African Virtual School Brings E-Learning to Africa

African learners can now acquire key skills in Maths, English and ICT via the Internet with the help of the African Virtual School (www.africanvirtualschool.com).

Orpington, United Kingdom, September 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- African learners can now acquire key skills in Maths, English and ICT via the Internet with the help of the African Virtual School (www.africanvirtualschool.com).

African Learners only need occasional access to the Internet as the courses can also be downloaded and printed for use offline. From the 14th of September 2009, learners will be able to enrol for the very first course "Essential Maths for the Workplace". Essential Maths for the workplace covers key maths skills needed in the modern workplace such as working out fractions, decimals and percentages. Learners can start this three-month course at any time and also have the opportunity to receive a digital certificate on successful completion.

The African Virtual School was founded by a group of African Diasporans in London in partnership with Howson Services, a Kent-based company. Howson Services provides IT Support and Payment Systems Support for the School.
