Amperor to Unveil “Location-Shifting” Whole-Home Media Distribution Center at Houston Home and Garden Market

Amperor, Inc. to present innovative device that allows consumers to watch and control their entire home-entertainment system from any TV in the home, with no new wiring or additional box rental fees.

Houston, TX, September 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Amperor will unveil the BOCS™ (pronounced box), at the 14th Annual Houston Home and Garden Show from Sept. 18-20. BOCS™ is an innovative device that allows consumers to watch and control their entire home-entertainment system (DVR, cable box, TiVo, DVD player/jukebox, iPod etc.) from any TV in the home, with no new wiring, no additional box rental fees and no need to buy duplicate components for each TV.

The BOCS system uses the existing coaxial wiring in the home, so all of the TVs that already receive cable channels can be used to control and view all your source devices. Since users can watch the recorded shows on their central DVR from anywhere in the home, the BOCS system also offers the potential to drastically lower monthly cable premiums and associated subscription fees.

“We designed BOCS because it is something we needed in our own homes,” said David Feller, founder and designer of the BOCS system. “And now, thousands of units later, it is clear that everyone wants the ability to watch their DVR’d shows from any room and save on monthly bills at the same time. Amperor, our exclusive US distributor, is helping us take this to market and serve communities beyond just Northern Colorado. I honestly believe this is the next-big-thing in home entertainment! ”

Any device with a standard composite output can be plugged into BOCS. The open design of the system allows for a variety of unique implementations, including whole-home Netflix and even the ability to monitor security or baby cameras from any room in the home. The BOCS system is controlled via included universal learning remotes that send RF signals capable of passing through walls, doors and floors.

Amperor will also feature the Digitech HDX 1000, a digital media player providing a simple and elegant way to enjoy stored digital content on the big screen TV at up to 1080p full-HD resolutions.

With the HDX 1000 connected to a big screen TV, users can experience breathtaking video and digital audio quality, without the distracting noise levels often associated with PCs and game consoles. The HDX 1000 can stream movies, music and pictures stored on a networked PC and supports a wide variety of file formats, including MKV, Windows Media, H.264 and Xvid. In addition to streaming stored content, users can browse popular video and picture sharing websites such as YouTube, Veoh and Flickr. An affordable and portable solution, the player includes a high quality HDMI cable and can access media directly from USB hard drives and SD memory cards.

Amperor will be showcasing the products at the Reliant Center in Houston, TX from Sept. 18-20 at booth number 454.
