Wake Technical Community College Will Participate in Kings of the Courts Basketball Tournament

Local College Will Participate In Burger King’s GED Initiative.

Raleigh, NC, September 18, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Stephen Scott, president of Wake Technical Community College, has announced that the college will participate in Burger King’s Kings of the Courts basketball tournament on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. on Fayetteville Street in Raleigh (in front of the Sheraton Hotel). Burger King will present its GED Initiative at the tournament, including a check to Wake Tech’s GED program. The college will have an information booth at the event.

Raleigh is one of 14 cities taking part in the tournament, which culminates with the NBA All-Star Weekend 2007 in Las Vegas on Feb. 17. In addition to basketball competitions throughout the day, the event will feature DJs and radio personalities, interactive games and the 2K Sports Video Game Challenge. Those who attend will be eligible for prizes and giveaways.
