CityCircles.com Launches This October: Celebrating with a Launch Party in Tempe on October 8, 2009

Phoenix, AZ, September 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- CityCircles.com is changing the way commuters interact with their city using the web and mobile technology to provide information about each light rail stop. CityCircles is launching its site this October and celebrating with a launch party in Tempe, AZ. The party will be held on October 8, 2009 at MADCAP Theatre (formerly Harkins Centerpoint) on Mill Avenue from 6:30pm-10:30pm. There will be a demo of the site as well as an organized treasure hunt around Mill Avenue with great prizes (Caffe Boa gift certificate and more). Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

CityCircles uses the web and mobile technology to deliver stop-by-stop information to light rail users and Phoenix-metro residents. This includes businesses, services, news, events, and promotions per stop. CityCircles also uses social networking features online to encourage civic involvement and community building in the real world. The more users to collaborate, share, and connect the better. The mission is to build a better sense of community, improve the local economy in the city, and to provide users with deeper meaning and an overall better experience with their city.

CityCircles is a Phoenix-based startup. It is supported in part by the Knight Foundation, a New York-based institution that named CityCircles one of its News Challenge winners in June 2009.
