NASBA Selects Boston for 2010 Expo

Preview Luncheon at Successful Expo Provides Insight into Next Year

Nashville, TN, September 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) has announced Boston, Massachusetts as the host city of its second annual National CPE Expo in 2010.

After concluding its first-ever expo, aimed at bringing together accounting and finance professionals from across the country, NASBA wrapped a successful landmark event this week in San Antonio in preparation for next year.

Hundreds of attendees in a variety of industries and job functions participated in the Expo as a premier opportunity for learning and networking. Attendees walked away with a better understanding of who NASBA is and what functions it and state boards of accountancy serve in the accounting profession.

Designed for CPAs and financial professionals, the Expo program features over 60 CPE sessions led by 23 top learning providers tackling the most important technical, business and regulatory issues facing CPAs and financial professionals.

This year's Expo included CPE providers such as Bisk Education, Intuit, IA Seminars, Capital One Financial, HCA and the Forth Work Chapter TSCPA among others. Over 50 exhibitors participated including Thomson Reuters, Personable, Bank of America, Blue Chip Performance Strategies and Kaplan along with several others.

NASBA President and CEO David Costello believes that the National CPE Expo provides the perfect opportunity to gather accounting professionals, and regulators, to share, communicate, learn and network. “Boston is a hub of education, finance and government activities and is a prime location for next year’s event.” Expo attendees can earn up to 22 CPE credits at the event.

Boston served as site to NASBA's 101st Annual Meeting in 2008.
