Louisville, KY, October 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lighthouse Abuse Shelter, a non profit organization dedicated to helping abused women and children find shelter and help that they need, launches its first web site for abused women and children in the Kentucky area. The site, located at www.lighthousewomensshelter.org has been donated by AutoWeb Technologies (www.autowebtech.com), the premier web design and hosting company in North America. The site's main focus is promoting awareness of the abuse of women and children as well as a centralized "safe haven" for abused women and children to get help. Additionally, The site offers web based fund raising and donation capabilities through Paypal.

"The site was a pleasure to work on and it felt great to give our time and resources to such a worthy cause. A major problem for them initially was that they had no budget at all. Our company has been blessed over the years with great clients and steady growth, so any time we can help those who need it, we try to. This was an interesting project also, as we learned about some of the nuances of becoming a 501c3 non-profit corporation. We look forward to hosting and maintaining the site for them and helping them going forward. They're a good group with a very noble cause", reports Ben Vaughn, senior project manager for AutoWeb Technologies.
